priorities

If I were wise, each morning I'd write 'nurse Margaret' on my to-do list 12 times. Then I would feel very accomplished when I'd find at noon 5 things crossed off my list. She is just too darn sweet. She falls asleep on my left shoulder while I'm making dinner or brushing teeth or prying apart lego pieces. She coos and sighs in response to us. I've etched her goofy grin w/lopsided dimples into my mental sketch book. She studies the boys faces and tracks them around the room (when they slow down). There are a hundred little, and big, things I'd like to take care of, clean, sort, make, read,... But knowing how fast time passes, how they too soon would rather run off and play then sit with mom, how they eventually won't fit in my lap anyway, the other "stuff" can wait.
Okay, here's a before. I cut his hair. Elijah started telling him he looked like "the presidents" - think powdered wig. Not sure if this shot would help or hurt at presidential run. I'd vote for him in a heartbeat!

ahhh, so true. Time flies by and so happy to hear you are savoring the moments. Love the descriptions and I'm wondering how short Tobias's hair is now?
