perfect picnic

My serious little Jedi's have been enjoying a great deal of popcorn this winter. We don't have many extra appliances but our hot air popper does have a reserved space in the cupboard.

And with the boys help I finally made a ground cloth from a piece of (nice) scrap wool from a rummage sale. The wool was probably meant for a woman's fine Sunday skirt, but ended up in the 25 cent bin at a church sale. We backed it w/5 dollars worth of ripstop nylon and we have a useful cover for fireworks, picnics, and lounging. Don't think it'll keep us warm or dry but will hold back moisture longer than the brown cloth (the type college kids hang on their walls) my brother Andy found in a dorm room after the semester ended, 15 years ago.
