I suppose adults have simple revelations as seasons change such as "ohh, these shorts don't fit anymore" or "wow my bike tires are flat". Kids have instead the life changing revelations such as "I can reach the bike pedals and move forward" and "my legs are way too long for my little plastic motorcycle". There's no rewind or scene selection option for their childhood, is there? Seems my kids are lot like the plants I'm always serving up on their dinner plates, they wake up and grow in the spring. I know its many weeks off here, but we can daydream while the temperatures temporarily flirt with 60. Every toy was out of the garage, the lid was off the sandbox, and the tunnel is almost completely melted. Nothing like snow, mud, and sand being tracked into the house. But absolutely nothing beats the smell of fresh air in your kids' hair as you kiss them to sleep. There was no way I was going to bathe that off tonight. Turning off the computer and going up to smell my kids again...
